NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
WAUKESHA METRO TRANSIT
A public hearing has been scheduled by the City of Waukesha Transit Commission for Thursday, May 17, 2012 at 6:30pm in Room 207 at Waukesha City Hall, 201 Delafield Street, Waukesha, for the purpose of considering the following: fare changes, modify change of scope for existing federal grant; and apply for federal CMAQ grant.
At the hearing, the Waukesha Transit Commission Board and staff will afford an opportunity for interested persons or agencies to be heard with respect to the proposals. Comments may also be submitted in writing up to the date and time of the public hearing to Waukesha Metro Transit, Public Hearing Comments, 2311 Badger Drive, Waukesha, WI 53188.
Any person that has a qualifying disability under the Americans with Disabilities Act that requires the hearing to be in an accessible format should contact the Transit Director at the address above or telephone 262/524-3594 by no later than May 14, 2012 so that arrangements may be made to accommodate your request.
Proposed Fare Changes – Waukesha Metro Transit and Waukesha Metrolift
Add a Summer Youth Pass, valid June, July, and August for $34.00.
Raise cash fare for Metrolift from $3.75 to $4.00.
Raise ticket fare for Metrolift from 10 for $35.00 to 10 for $40.00.
Create an agency fare for Metrolift at a rate of $31.82 per passenger.
Grant Amendment
The Transit Board is proposing amending federal grant WI-90-X545 for a change of scope to allow the transit system to replace video cameras in eight buses without any change in local share cost.
Grant Application
The Transit Board is proposing applying for a Congestion Mitigation Air Quality (CMAQ) grant in the amount of $71,500 for local marketing funds.
