MISSION - OVERVIEW The Waukesha Wastewater Treatment Facilities process 10-12 million gallons of water per day. The water is generated by residential, industrial and commercial sources. The City also accepts these wastes by truck through the Hauled Waste Program. Unit processes involve physical, biological and chemical treatment. The treated water is discharged to the Fox River (Illinois). Grit and rags are disposed at a secured landfill and the dewatered biosolids (sludge) are land-applied as a soil conditioner. |
