Close Gaspar St. for Friday Night Live

Permission has been given to the applicant to close Gaspar St. between W. Main St. & the drive to Avalon Square, 222 Park Pl., on Fridays from July 10 through September 25, 2009 from 5:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. for Friday Night Live.

Center Rd Intersection Reconstruction and Signal Installation

Center Rd. from Corporate Drive to north of Les Paul Parkway will be under construction until October 2009.  Signals will be installed at this intersection

Chicago Avenue Street Closure

Weather permitting, it is planned to close Chicago Ave. to through traffic between Hyde Park Ave. and Randall St. beginning Monday, July 20, 2009 for street reconstruction and water main replacement.  Work is anticipated to last until the end of August.

W. St. Paul Construction and Lane closures

 

The W. St. Paul Ave. pavement resurfacing project from S. Moreland Blvd. to the intersection of Wisconsin Ave. and W. North St. is underway.  Work will include pavement resurfacing, curb & gutter repairs, updating handicap ramps, traffic signal improvements and storm sewer repair.  The existing concrete pavement will be milled, rubblized and then overlaid with 5 inches of asphalt pavement.  Traffic through this construction zone will be maintained but with one lane in each direction.  As part of this project, Mountain Ave. between W. St. Paul Ave. and Motor Ave. will be reconstructed.  It will be closed during that phase of work.  The entire project is anticipated to be complete by the end of October.

Close Baxter St. August 18, 2009

Permission has been given to the Police Department to close Baxter St. from White Rock Ave. to Buckley St. on Tuesday, August 18, 2009 from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. for Waukesha Night Out.

Close W. Main St. 9-12-09 for Art Fest

 

Permission has been given to the Business Improvement District to close W. Main St. between N. Grand Ave. and Clinton St. and between Clinton St. and N. West Ave. on Saturday, September 12, 2009 from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. for Art Fest.  This is a tow away zone.  Clinton St. will remain open.

Close N. Barstow St. 10-10-09

 

Permission has been given to Carroll University to close N. Barstow St. between Cook St. and their parking lot on Saturday, October 10, 2009 from 2:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. for a homecoming event.

Carroll University Homecoming Parade October 10
 
Permission has been given to Carroll University to conduct a parade on Saturday, October 10, 2009 from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m.  Beginning at 2 p.m., they will assemble on Martin St.  The parade will proceed west on South St., south on Clinton St., east on Wisconsin Ave., south on N. East Ave. to the campus, west on the circle drive, west on W. College Ave., north on N. Barstow St. and east on Cook St.  They will finish disbanding at 4:30 p.m.

Close N. Barstow St. 10-11-09

 

Permission has been given to Carroll University to close N. Barstow St. between Cook St. and W. College Ave. on Sunday, October 11, 2009 from 7:30 a.m. to noon for a run & walk.  The run & walk will occur on sidewalks.

Farmer's Market
 
The Waukesha Business Improvement District has been given permission to close Friedman Dr., which is between W. Main St. and Municipal Parking Lot 1, on Saturdays from May 9 through October 31, 2009 from 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. for the Farmers' Market.  A pedestrian path must be maintained.  This action also closes vehicular access to the 2 dead-ends of Alley 94.

Riverwalk for Breast Cancer 2010

Due to an organized walk in Frame Park (Riverwalk for Breast Cancer), the east lane on Barstow St., the north lane on Corrina Blvd. and the south lane on Moreland Blvd. adjacent to the Fox River will be closed on Saturday, May 1, 2010 from 10:00 a.m. to 12 noon.
