Law Enforcement Explorer Post 178

Law Enforcement Explorer Post 178

Police Badge

Explorer Post 178 is a law enforcement Explorer Post for young men and women ages 14 to 21, who are interested in learning more about a career in law enforcement.

We are sponsored by the City of Waukesha Police Department.

Post members learn about law enforcement by attending a post meeting during the month, each meeting is about 1 hour in length. At these meetings we discuss current topics in law enforcement, have training in police topics presented by professionals in all levels of law enforcement including the FBI, the U.S. Marshal Service, the Wisconsin State Patrol, the Waukesha Police Department, and many more.

All members are trained in traffic control, emergency first aid including CPR, radio communications, and a whole lot more! But we also practice what we learn! Post members work with our police department to assist in community functions, and after reaching a certain level of training, post members can ride along in squad cars with police officers on patrol.
