Moor Mud

In 1912, the owners of the Moor Mud Baths resort built a rather unusual structure to house their spring water pumps. Made completely out of reinforced concrete, the Moor Mud Baths springhouse still exists, and is currently in the hands of the County Government. It sits on what is now the Moor Downs golf course.

Current plans to repair and clean the spring house are being prepared in the county offices. Some suggestions would have the building serve as a historic landmark, with pictures of the Moor Mud Baths and other Waukesha attractions, as well as a vending area for golfers. Nothing has yet been finalized.

Donations for restoration of this Spring House began in 1999.
