HVAC License

Any person doing heating, ventilation or air conditioning work in the City of Waukesha must hold a current license issued by the City.

Any person doing air conditioning work in the City of Waukesha must hold a valid Freon Handling Certification issued by the State of Wisconsinp

It is against Federal and State Law to vent hydrocarbons (Freon) into the atmosphere. Special training is required for the handling of air conditioning or refrigeration gases.

For homeowners who live in the residence within which they intend to do heating or ventilation work a license is not required to do the work.
