The Fox River Development Board (FRDB)
was created in 1992 to oversee the redevelopment
and beautification of the Fox River.

Using Tax Incremental Financing (TIF) dollars, the FRDB created the designs and implemented construction of the first two major phases, Barstow Plaza and Frame Park.  Six smaller segments have been done to date in the heart of the city's downtown commercial center.

Creating its own nonprofit fundraising arm, the FRDB has raised almost $2 million in private funds to aid in this effort.  Over $10.5 million has been reinvested to date, and more segments are planned.  Chaired by Waukesha Memorial Hospital's CEO/COG Don Fundingsland, the FRDB represents the best example of a highly successful public private partnership which is completely changing the face of the city while revitalizing the downtown.
