Project ReassuranceProject reassurance is a program designed to provide a daily contact person for citizens who live alone. It is hoped that this program will provide the participant with "peace of mind" knowing that someone cares about his or her welfare. In brief, a participant in this program calls a special phone number every day before noon. If the person does not call, the Reassurance operator will try to reach the participant by phone. If attempts to reach the participant are unsuccessful, the fire department will respond to the participant's residence with an ambulance. This service is available to any citizen within the City of Waukesha free of cost (support for this program is provided by Waukesha Memorial Hospital, the City of Waukesha Fire Department, and the Community of Living Spirit Church). For further information on this program, please contact Kathy Stefan at 524-3657. |
