Physical Examination Overview
Currently, the City of Waukesha Fire Department utilizes the CPAT, or Candidate Physical Ability Test for its examination process. The CPAT is a nationally recognized exam because it was developed to test firefighter candidates on their ability to perform simulated tasks consistent with the duties of a firefighter. It is designed to ensure that candidates possess the physical ability to complete critical tasks effectively and safely. Please note that the following CPAT procedure is subject to change. Detailed and updated physical examination details will be handed out during the hiring/testing process.
