When is the drop off open?

The site is open all year on Saturdays from 8 am to 4 pm.
Wednesday hours: First Wednesday in April to the Wednesday before Thanksgiving. Hours are 11 am to 7 pm.


Where do I take concrete?

When is my garbage pickup?
The garbage is picked up once each week on the scheduled day, except when a major holiday delays pickup by one day following the holiday until the end of the week.

If it is a holiday, when is my pickup?
In any week in which certain holidays occur, the days of collection following the holiday will be one day later with collections carrying over to Saturday. The holidays are: New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.


What are the requirements for corrugated cardboard?
The maximum size of flattened corrugated cardboard is 3 feet by 4 feet.


What does a sticker on my garbage mean?
If a sticker is placed on the garbage can or bag, it means that there is a violation of the rules for garbage collection. The violation should be noted on the sticker. Stickers are also used to identify violations of recycling rules and to notify residents about the procedure for having appliances picked up.


How do I request a sign?
Sign requests are made by contacting your Council representative (alderman). Contact can also be made by calling the Engineering Department at 524-3600 for information about signs. For replacement of street name signs and other signs that are missing or in need of repair, contact the Engineering Department.


Where can I get barricades?
Barricades that may be used for block parties or City approved events can be picked up at the City Garage at 300 Sentry Drive between 7:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. It is necessary to contact the City Garage (524-3615) before picking up barricades to make sure they are available. Permits are required for the block parties or other events that are on public rights-of-way. There is no charge if a permit has been granted.
