INSTRUMENTATION/ELECTRONIC/SCADA TECHNICIAN
WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT

Responsible for maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) and Instrumentation and Control (I&C) systems using programming through programmable logic controllers (PLC) for the wastewater treatment plant and lift stations. May require call backs for emergency situations.

Required:  High school diploma or equivalent.  Valid Driver’s License with excellent driving record.  Experience involving maintenance, calibration, programming and repair of real-time process control systems in an industrial setting. 

Preferred:  Associates Degree in Electrical Technology or related field.  Five (5) or more years of experience in the water/wastewater industry with demonstrated knowledge of ladder logic and networked HMI applications.

BEFORE AND AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM COORDINATOR
Part-Time
PARKS, RECREATION AND FORESTRY

Under the general direction of the Recreation Programmer, is responsible for the development, coordination and supervision of the before and afterschool programs of the City of Waukesha Parks, Recreation and Forestry Department.  Assists in recruiting, training and evaluating program staff; develops academic enrichment curriculum/activities that align with Wisconsin Common Core State Standards; Assists with grant documentation for 21st Century Community Learning Center sites; Coaches program staff in areas of behavior management, parent communication and student success strategies; and performs other duties as assigned.

Required:  Graduation from four-year college or university with a degree in Recreation, Early Childhood Education, or a related field and 1 – 3 years of experience in program planning and administration, preferably in a park and recreation department, YMCA or similar child-related service provider.  Knowledge of best practices in education related to behavior management, curriculum development and student success strategies. Must possess valid Wisconsin Driver’s License with an excellent driving record.  Ability to pass a criminal background check and pre-employment drug screen.

Normal Hours of Work: Scheduled for an average of 20 hours per week. Hours generally worked between 1:00 and 6:00 pm. Some evenings as required.

Salary/Benefits: Starting annual salary - $27,102.00. Pro-rated benefits include vacation, paid holiday and sick leave.

ADULT SOFTBALL COORDINATOR        
PARKS, RECREATION & FORESTRY

General Summary: The Adult Softball Coordinator is responsible for the coordination and daily supervision of the WPRF Adult Softball Leagues held at Saratoga Complex and Buchner Parks.

Reporting Relationships: Under the direction of the Sports Coordinator, performs coordination duties for the Adult Softball program.  This coordinator oversees score keepers and   umpires (in conjunction with the head umpire).

Specific Accountabilities:

1.     Coordinates assigned pre-season activities relating to Adult Softball leagues, including assisting with game scheduling and scorekeeper scheduling.

2.     Responsible for inventory of softball supplies needed at Saratoga Complex.

3.     Supervises Saratoga Softball Complex during all league games, including opening and closing complex, continually evaluating games and staff, promoting a fun, safe environment for all games, enforcing all park and program rules. Periodically observes softball games held at Buchner Park.

4.     Follows procedures for formal protests and follows throughout with Sports Coordinator.

5.     Ensuring general safety of all participants by responding to emergencies, documenting accidents and following emergency action plans (EPA) for weather related incidents.

6.     Will coordinate with grounds maintenance staff to determine whether games are playable regarding weather/grounds conditions.  Will not perform any grounds maintenance on the diamonds.

       7.  Schedules and coordinates rainout dates.

8.     Organizes and distributes awards for end of season.

9.     Assists with scheduling of and supervision of Softball City Tournament.

10.  Maintains WPRF Adult softball website including standings and weather updates.  Updates WPRF Information line as needed.  

11.  Completes payroll requirements on a timely basis for scorekeepers and any other required staff.

12.  Maintains files of correspondence, forms, records, reports, and other materials in accordance with departmental policies and procedures.

13.  Completes end of season report.

14.  Performs other tasks as requested or needed.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

1.     Must be 21 years of age or older.

2.     Experience in and/or knowledge of adult softball programming.

3.     Strong leadership and supervisory skills.

4.     Ability to communicate, be courteous and cooperate with other staff and the public.

5.     Strong organizational skills.

6.     Ability to operate computer software and other office equipment.

7.     Certification in First Aid and CPR (or willingness to obtain)

8.     Enthusiastic towards adults sports programming.

Required Hours/Rate of Pay:

       1. Pre/Post season planning hours not to exceed 40 hours.

2.     Season hours require Monday – Friday, 6:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m., for 16 weeks at the Saratoga Adult Sports Complex, approximately 400 hours, April 20 through August. Some weekends hours may be required for rainout scheduling. Total season hours are not to exceed 600 hours. 

3.     Rate of Pay:  $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
