4K Teacher - Part-Time

Job Description: The Certified 4K Teacher provides a safe and nurturing environment for children that encourage their social, emotional, physical and cognitive development. The teacher plans and implements a developmentally appropriate curriculum following Wisconsin Model for Early Leaning Standard, City of Waukesha Parks, Recreation and Forestry and School District of Waukesha policies and procedures. They also maintain positive relationship with parents, children coworkers and community partners.

Qualifications: Instructor must have one of the following Department of Public Instruction licenses: 080: Pre-Kindergarten, 083: Pre-Kindergarten – Grade 3, 086: Pre-Kindergarten – Grade 6, 090: Pre-Kindergarten/Kindergarten, 100: Kindergarten, 108: Kindergarten – Grade 8, 088: Pre-Kindergarten – Grade 8, 106: Kindergarten – Grade 6, 70-777: Regular Education – Early Childhood level, 71-777 Regular Education – Early Childhood – Middle Childhood level

Requirements: Applicants must have a current Wisconsin DPI license. Primarily active work; occasionally lifting up, holding or moving up to 50 lbs as needed, bending, stooping, kneeling, sitting on floor, walking/transporting, fingering, handling, feeling, reaching, climbing, balancing, crouching, crawling, talking and speaking clearly, hearing conversation level, tasting, smelling and seeing; ability to interact daily with children outdoor in varied weather conditions.

Community Learning Center (CLC) Program Coordinator

Job Description: The CLC Coordinator assists in the planning, coordination and supervision of the 21st Century Community Learning Center’s programs, activities and staff. The CLC Coordinator provides leadership and an efficient and safe operation for the Community Learning Center.

Qualifications:

Proficiency in the following skills: Leadership, Decision-Making, Planning, Organization and Communication.  Willingness to work irregular hours, shifts, or weekends as required.  Experience in supervising others preferred, but not required.  Ability to communicate, be courteous and cooperate with other staff members and the public.  Ability to lead, plan, organize and implement program activities.  Ability to accomplish tasks with indirect supervision.  Enthusiastic personality and willingness to adapt to unforeseen circumstances.  Previous experience in after school or camp-related setting desirable, but not required.

College/university graduate with training in recreation, education or related area desirable, but not required.

Bilingual in Spanish desirable, but not required.

Hours: Must be available to work Monday – Friday at CLC Site (3:15 – 6:00 pm); Availability to work before school program (6:45 – 8:45 am) not required, but desired. Some nights past 6:00 pm are required. This position can expect 20-25 hours per week.
