Electrical License
Before any electrical work can be done in the City of Waukesha an electrical license must be applied for and issued by the City.
To Apply for a City of Waukesha Electrical License
- Fill out a City of Waukesha electrical license application
- Provide your original Master Electrician Certification
- Provide your original Wisconsin driver's license
- Pay the required fee of $50.00
- Click on Application Form to download your license application
An electrical license is in force from May 1 to April 30.
To Renew a City of Waukesha Electrical License (Construction)
- Complete a license renewal form
- Pay the required renewal fee of $40.00 (a late renewal fee of $55.00 is charged if renewal application is received after the due date)
- Include a copy of your current State Certification

- Complete a factory, mill or shop electrical license application
- Pay a non-refundable $ 25.00 exam application fee
- Pass a written examination
- Pay the required fee of $ 40.00
