Cool School Rec Programs/Before & Afterschool Programs 2011

Expectations:

We help children grow physically, emotionally, socially and intellectually by playing, exploring and learning with others in a fun, safe, healthy environment. We seek to provide excellent service through collaborations, cooperation and communication and seek to give parents peace of mind knowing their children are in a high quality program.

• Ages 6 (must be in 5 year old kindergarten) and up

• Instructors are men and women college age or college graduates who have experience working with children and truly enjoy what they do. Staff attends training programs prior to programs which include certifying or re-certifying in first aid and CPR. Staff leaders are responsible for planning and supervising all daily activities. The ratio of participants to instructor is no greater than 13:1.

Before & Afterschool Programs Fall/Winter 2011-2012

• Afterschool programs last until 6:00 pm. 

• Afterschool programs are held at Banting, Prairie, Hawthorne Randall & Bethesda Elementary schools.

Our quality, affordable programs offer a balance of academics, recreation, & social activities focusing on healthy choices in all of these program areas.

Summer Camp/Programs:

Summer Care begins at 7:30 am and runs until 5:30 pm, Monday through Friday.

The Waukesha Parks Recreation and Forestry Department offers two different summer camp/program options for school-age children during the summer months.

Cool School Summer Explorers: River's Crossing and Banting Park Shelters are home to Cool School Summer Explorer Programs.

Cool School Rec: Waukesha Parks, Recreation and Forestry Department works closely with the school district to provide care at two summer school sites (summer school sites change every year).

Early Release Programs:

Early release programs are held at Randall, Prairie and Hawthorne Elementary Schools. On Waukesha School District early release days, themed activities are planned to make the day extra special.
