Citywide Brush Pickup Week:  April 26 – April 30, 2010

Pile branches, up to 3 inches in diameter and 6 feet long, on the curb by 7:00 a.m. on your regular garbage pickup day.  Branches and brush should be neatly piled with all butt ends in the same direction.  Tie small amounts of brush in bundles, not more than 6 feet in length or more than 40 pounds.  Do not put in bags, boxes or trash containers.  Small twigs and branches less than 18 inches in length are considered yard waste and will not be collected.  Residents are allowed to start setting branches and brush on the curb beginning April 16th.

Note: Piling of Branches and Brush into the curb is prohibited by City Ordinance 6.05 (5)(AM.#5-09). No person shall throw or place or deposit or cause to be deposited directly or indirectly any dirt, straw, ashes, leaves, rubbish, litter or other refuse matter in any street, alley or public place in the City.

Note: This is the only brush collection for the year.

Reminder: Large items are collected weekly.  Appliances, tires, cast iron plumbing fixtures and certain other heavy items must be called in to schedule pickup.
