Frequently Asked Questions

How do I obtain a copy of my police report?

You can request a copy of your police report at the City Attorney's Office, 201 Delafield Street, Room 206. There is a $2.00 charge. If the incident involves juveniles, please call ahead to allow time for the report to be reviewed and information redacted, if necessary.

I'd like to speak with the Assistant City Attorney about my case. Can I make an appointment?

If you would like to attempt to settle your case with the Assistant City Attorney, you must first enter a "Not Guilty plea" with the Municipal Court Office. You can do this in person at the Court Office (Room 201 at City Hall), by mail, or by fax sent to 262-650-2570. The Court Office will then schedule a pretrial conference for you to meet with the Assistant City Attorney. Pretrial conferences are held Tuesday and Thursday mornings in Council Chambers.

I can't make my court appearance, can it be rescheduled?

Requests to reschedule a court appearance should be directed to the Municipal Court Office (phone 262-524-3705, fax 262-650-2570).

What are your business hours?

The office is open 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
