CEMETERY

Grounds maintenance duties including cutting and trimming grass on Cemetery grounds.

Required:  High school diploma or equivalent and some familiarity with mowers and trimmers.  Must be 18 years of age or older and able to lift up to 50 pounds. 

Seasonal hours:  May through August – 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Hourly rate:  $11.46

ASSISTANT FINANCE DIRECTOR
FINANCE DEPARTMENT

The City of Waukesha is seeking an energetic individual to assist in leading the Finance Department.  The Assistant Finance Director is responsible for planning, organizing, assigning and supervising the work of the professional staff in the department in conjunction with the Finance Director.  An ideal candidate would have the ability to continue to foster cooperation across the organization and provide governmental accounting expertise in many different areas.  This position will be a key member in the annual budget process and will have a vital role in the monitoring of the Enterprise funds of the City.  For further description of the position, please see the position description.  Job Description

Qualifications:

Excellent candidates would have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in accounting with at least four (4) years of governmental accounting expertise.  Candidates must be able to demonstrate a strong proficiency in the use of financial systems and experience with Tyler Munis would be strongly preferred.  A CPA is preferred.

Salary Range:

The proposed salary range starts at $77,380; maximum $104,000 achieved through merit increases.

MOTOR EQUIPMENT OPERATOR II
DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS - STREET DIVISION

Performs public works construction to include landscaping, street, sanitary and storm sewer maintenance, and snow removal with 26000 LB single axle truck with plow and wing.  May work in confined spaces. 

Required:  High school diploma or equivalent and two (2) years experience in public works construction.  Commercial Drivers License with ABC endorsements (N preferred) with excellent driving record.  Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.  Must successfully complete physical to include drug screen.

Hourly rate:  $25.53

Waukesha Parks, Recreation & Forestry is currently accepting applications for seasonal recreation, parks and aquatic positions listed below.

Toboggan Run Attendant: 18 yrs. and older
Must be available to work Saturday and Sunday, Noon to 4:00. Additional hours for rentals/parties. Starting in December.

Youth Soccer League Officials: 14 yrs. and older
Must be available to work Saturday April 9th – May 21st starting at 9:00am, soccer knowledge is required.

Youth Soccer League Site Supervisor: 18 yrs. and older
Must be available to work Saturday April 9th – May 21st starting at 8:30 am; soccer knowledge is required.

Saratoga Softball Supervisor: 21 yrs. and older; ASA Umpire Certification Preferred.
Must be available to work Monday – Friday, 6:00 – 11:00 pm, April 18th – August 21st.

Saratoga Softball Scorekeepers: 16 yrs. and older
Games are played Monday – Friday, April 25th – August 21st, 6:15 – 10:30 pm, scorekeepers will need to announce games, also.

Buchner Supervisor/Scorekeeper: 18 yrs. & older
Must be available to work Monday – Thursday, 6:00 – 11:00 pm, April 18th – July 28th.

Youth Baseball, Softball Officials: 16 yrs. & older
Games will start the week of June 13th and be completed by August 5th. Knowledge of baseball and/or softball is required.

Youth Gymnastics Instructors/Assistants: 16 yrs. & older
Instructor/Assistants needed Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. Knowledge of gymnastics/tumbling is required – WPRF will train.

Group Fitness Instructors (Substitutes): 18 yrs. & older
National Certification required. Substitutes needed for morning and evenings.

Facility Attendants: 18 yrs. & older
Summer weekend attendants needed for buildings, park areas & formal gardens.
