Community Service Officer
City of Waukesha Police Department
This is an entry level civilian law enforcement position. One (1) opening is scheduled to be filled. Duties include responding to non-hazardous calls for service throughout City parks, such as parking issues, lost children and enforcing minor City Ordinance violations, traffic control and assisting Patrol Officers with non-hazardous calls.
Required: High school diploma or GED, possession of a valid Wisconsin Drivers License with excellent driving record, must be 18 years of age at the time of appointment, must be willing to work various hours and days (Thursday through Sunday/April 30 – September 20), must be able to successfully operate a mountain bicycle and pass a thorough background check and drug test.
Preferred: Bilingual in English/Spanish, currently enrolled in a college level criminal justice program or other applicable course of study, First Aid/CPR certification.
Pay: $15.00 per hour.
